Our Story

Built for the people
who do the work.

SideGigs started with a simple observation about neighbors with real skills and no easy way to reach people who needed them.

I kept noticing the same thing in my neighborhood. A barber with a two-week waitlist. A baker doing custom cakes out of her kitchen, taking orders through a single Instagram DM. A handyman everyone recommended in passing — but nobody had a real way to reach. Incredible work. Zero infrastructure.

These weren't people who needed a startup. They weren't looking to build a brand or raise funding. They just needed a platform that worked as hard as they did — something that handled the logistics so they could focus on what they were actually good at.

As a father, I think a lot about what opportunity looks like for everyday people. The kind of people who've spent years building a skill through repetition, not a résumé. Not everyone's path runs through a university or a tech job, and I don't think it should have to. SideGigs is my answer to that.

The model is simple: list your service, get booked, keep 90%. No listing fees. No upfront costs. No algorithm deciding whether your gig gets seen. Just a straightforward way to turn what you know into something that pays.

We built it for the barbers, bakers, tutors, handymen, photographers, and everyone else who's been doing this on word-of-mouth alone. There's a better way to run your side gig — and this is it.

What we stand for

🏘️

Local talent, real reach

Your skills shouldn't be limited to whoever happened to hear about you. SideGigs puts your services in front of people in your community who are actively looking.

💰

Provider-first economics

No listing fees. No upfront costs. You keep 90% of every booking — because the person doing the work should be the one getting paid.

🤝

Trust between neighbors

Verified profiles, honest reviews, and clear pricing. Both sides know what they're getting — no surprises, no awkward negotiations.

Simple and reliable

Booking, messaging, and payments in one place. You focus on the gig — we handle the rest.

🎯

Skills over credentials

You don't need a business license or a polished website. If you're good at what you do and show up when you say you will, that's enough.

📈

Built to grow with you

Start with one service. Add more when you're ready. SideGigs scales as your side gig does — whether that's a few bookings a month or a full client list.
